The aim of this project was to design and build a wind tunnel that could support a sub-scale aeropod. The wind tunnel was required to have a wind speed of 10ft/s at the test section, a manometer to measure air pressure, and a kestrel based profiler to measure air velocity.
The wind tunnel was made using foam board as the material, 2 20-inch box fans and mailing tubes as air straighteners.
