I designed and built this Arduino-based measurement prototype to aid a research into passive radiative cooling. It was developed to measure the sub-ambient cooling power of previously identified radiative cooling materials.
The prototype measures the ambient temperature and that of 2 samples of the same material using 3 thermocouples, while using a PID controlled heating pad to keep one of the samples at ambient temperature.Â
The temperature and cooling power data is displayed on an LCD screen and also saved to an SD card for later plotting using MATLAB.
